I'm so excited to share these photos of my new white picket fence!
We've come along way over the last month in our major landscaping and retaining wall project. Now that the fence is in, I can order the sod and the rest of the shrubs and plants!
There will be plantings of Dwarf Alberta Spruce, Blue Hydrangeas and Large Hosta in front of the wall to soften this large area.
Lots more to come! We hope to have the sod delivered this week and start planting next weekend.

The gray stone retaining wall needed some sophistication and this beautiful white fence does the job!

The upper area is going to be a small formal garden with sod, boxwoods, cements urns and pretty annuals.

A white vinyl fence on the other hand will require next to no maintenance. Vinyl fence materials are made to stand the test of the time.
White Picket Fence
Yes, that's why I chose the Vinyl picket fence. I didn't want to have to paint it every couple of years.
This looks like a really great white picket fence. I can't help but think of the fence painting scene in Tom Sawyer when I see these pictures. You did a good job with building this wood fence on the stone retaining wall. I'm surprised by how well put together the wall looks with the fence on top of it. I tried to build a retaining wall, then build a wooden fence on top of it, but my work looked really sloppy. Perhaps one day my fence and retaining wall will look as good as your fence and wall look in these pictures.

the fence in yellow and sold sign post and sign in white. Use a toothpick to scrape the outlines where they meet on the post. Reserve some of each of the yellow icings for piping details.
